/ Blog / Member Match Play Championship
Start Date: January 25th, 2021
Divisions: This is a member only event with three divisions: women's handicap, men’s handicap, and scratch. The division you compete in will be your choice. All matches in the handicap division will be played off the low ball as presented on the scorecard.
Format: Everyone will play the qualifying 18-hole stroke round and bracket seeds will be determined through this round. All matches after the first week are required to be played with your seeded opponent. We will provide contact details for everyone to make scheduling times to play easy!
In Match Play, each participant plays directly against an opponent in a head-to-head match. To win a hole, you must complete it with the fewest strokes. To win a match, you must win more holes than your opponent. If there’s a tie at the end of the 18th hole, a playoff will start at the first tee of the same course. Putting will be set to gimmes at 10 feet or closer.
The bracket will be a double elimination - each player is guaranteed a minimum of 3 rounds (this includes the qualifying round and 2 matches). We’ll email the updated bracket each week and post it in the Golf Center.
· All Players in Scratch division - Blue
· All Men under the age of 70 in Handicap Division – White
· All Men 70 and over in Handicap Division – Red
· All women – Yellow

Some health experts are seeing the glass half full when it comes to enjoying a pint after work or after a workout in terms of potential health benefits. Many sources have 'brewed' over the topic, even making the argument that Guinness stout triumphs over other beers when it comes to comparing health factors. Sources such as CNN Health and Insider have debated this issue...View
It’s that time of year once again... when many seek to turn over a new leaf and better themselves in various ways by pursuing a self-prescribed New Year Resolution. January through February represents the time of the year many new faces will show up in gyms nationwide as people pursue the annual “it’s going to happen this year” bodymake-overplan. Unfortunately, by the time April graces our calendars most of these new faces disappear due to unfulfilled and often unrealistic goals. The reality is most people do not like to work out, and only consider it because they understand it is good for them. A major problem is a lack of knowledge, a lack of realistic thought process, and a lack of a support plan. Negative behaviors are what has created the problems, so it is positive behaviors that are needed to fix them.View
